I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1984. After living several fascinating elsewheres, I now live north of Indy in an equally fascinating A-Frame-built-onto-a-barn house with my charming and talented husband, M, and our hilarious young daughters, S & V.
I have published several chapbooks and a full-length collection of poetry. My work has been awarded the Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship, twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and has appeared in numerous journals over the past decade. For the past eight years, I have also held a full-time career in Supply Chain Logistics and currently work in Product Management as a Business Analyst (Google it – it’s pretty cool).
When not wife-ing, momming, reading, or writing, I can be found on a run in my small town, on my Expedia app plotting my next adventure, obsessing over my Fitbit data, looking for my car keys, purchasing charcuterie ingredients, listening to foreign language radio stations, drinking my fifth cup of black coffee, peeping music festival lineups, trying new local restaurants, avoiding mountains of clean but unfolded laundry, contributing to the Hard Seltzer Boom or helping to sustain Spanish wine sales in the Midwest, teaching yoga, or out enjoying the weather, which is always newsworthy in Indiana.
